Who we are
Arslan Institute is operated by Arslan Manzoor, trading as Arslan Institute, a sole trader based in London, England. We provide AI fluency workshops for schools and sixth forms, teacher training, and personalised 1-to-1 sessions for students.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Arslan Manzoor is the data controller responsible for your personal data. If you have any questions about this policy or how we handle your data, you can contact us at arslan@arslaninstitute.com.
What data we collect and why
We only collect personal data that you provide to us directly through the contact form on our website. This may include:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your organisation or school name and role (if you choose to provide them)
- The content of your message
We collect this information solely to respond to your enquiry about our sessions. We do not use it for any other purpose.
We do not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics tools on this website. We do not build profiles of visitors or use any form of behavioural advertising.
Legal basis for processing
We process your personal data on the basis of legitimate interests. Specifically, it is in both your interest and ours to communicate about the enquiry you have made. We have considered whether our interests are overridden by your rights and concluded they are not, given that the data is minimal, used only for the purpose you provided it, and not shared with third parties.
How long we keep your data
If your enquiry does not result in a booking, we will delete your contact details within 12 months of our last communication. If you become a client, we will retain records related to your sessions for as long as reasonably necessary for business and legal purposes, and no longer than 3 years after our last interaction.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time. See the Your Rights section below.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with any third parties for marketing or commercial purposes.
Our contact form is processed by Formspree, Inc., a third-party form processing service. Formspree receives the content of any form submission you make and transmits it to us by email. They act as a data processor on our behalf. You can read Formspree's privacy policy at formspree.io.
If you contact us via WhatsApp, your message is handled in accordance with Meta's privacy policy and WhatsApp's terms of service.
Enquiries on behalf of students
Enquiries are made by adults: parents or guardians, or staff at a school, sixth form, or university. We ask that enquiries are not made by students directly, and we do not knowingly collect personal data through this website from anyone under the age of 18.
During sessions, we do not ask students to create accounts or submit personal information to any service unless strictly necessary for the work, and where a student is under 18 we obtain consent from the parent, guardian, or school first.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
You can ask us to correct any inaccurate data we hold about you.
You can ask us to delete your personal data. We will comply unless we have a legal obligation to retain it.
You can ask us to restrict how we use your data while a dispute is being resolved.
You can object to us processing your data on the basis of legitimate interests.
You can request a machine-readable copy of the data you have provided to us.
To exercise any of these rights, please email arslan@arslaninstitute.com. We will respond within one month. There is no charge for exercising your rights.
